PROJECT SUMMARY

The project aims to automate testing processes for an ISV, specifically focusing on transportation, logistics, and fleet management solutions. The primary customer challenges include the need for efficient automated testing and faster product release cycles. The technology deployed includes UTAF (Unified Test Automation Framework), GitLab, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Node.js, JavaScript (JS), and Visual Studio Code (VSCode).

CHALLENGES

As our client expanded, the organization faced significant challenges due to increasingly complex technology infrastructure and the need for expedited release of new features and fixes. This complexity, stemming from multiple product lines, adversely affected customer experience, particularly for those engaging with various products. The client needed to streamline the quality of the products by implementing comprehensive and cohesive test automation.

Key challenges included:

  • Fragmented technology infrastructure across different product lines, making it difficult to maintain efficiency and coherence.

  • Lack of a dedicated QA team and standardized processes.

  • Slow product release cycles due to inadequate testing infrastructure.

  • Confusion in selecting the right tools (No-Code/Low-Code or Scripted).

SOLUTION

Feuji implemented a comprehensive test automation program that assisted in eliminating defect leakage into production, while reducing the time to market.

Here is our detailed approach:

  • Conducted an initial assessment to identify and shortlist UTAF as the best fit for the automation requirements.

  • Deployed UTAF tailored to the client’s specific needs and developed a comprehensive test automation suite covering all business flows.

    • Integrated UTAF with GitLab CI/CD pipelines for continuous and automated testing.

    • Leveraged UTAF’s modular architecture for dynamic script maintenance and updates.

    • Conducted automated API responsiveness checks focusing on performance and stability.

  • Provided advanced reports and dashboards with in-depth test analytics on Execution, Coverage, Defect trends, and API responsiveness.
