Feuji is enabling better livelihoods in rural India through education and skill development

Creating a strong business and building a better world are not conflicting goals – they are both essential ingredients for long-term success – William Clay Ford Jr. Executive Chairman, Ford Motor Company.

Feuji’s CSR program has two focus areas:

  • Employability of Rural Youth
  • Strengthening of Primary Education

Employability of Rural Youth
A great number of educated youth in rural India have academic qualifications but are not employable due to lack of job skills. Our goal is to teach job skills and improve the employability of rural Indian youth who have passed 10th and 12thgrades or hold a bachelor’s degree. In 2015, Feuji built a state of the art 20,000 sq. ft. rural skill development facility on a 4-acre campus in Jammalamadugu, Andhra Pradesh. The center has become the hub to provide hands-on training programs in the IT, non IT, and trade sectors.

Through our collaboration with Large multinational companies 80% of the trainees were placed through campus recruitments. We recently partnered with IL&FS Skills Development Corporation, India’s largest vocational training company working with a network of 2000+ employers. Over the next 10 years, Feuji intends to train and find jobs for 10,000 young job aspirants.

Feuji is changing lives through strengthening primary education in rural India.

Primary Education
Our dream is to provide excellent primary education to rural children so that the children are self-aware, self-sufficient and responsible individuals who can transform themselves and catalyze the process of transforming people and communities around them. To accomplish this dream, we are building a team of dedicated teachers and leaders who have an unwavering belief in themselves and the children and people they work with and are committed to impart holistic and contextual education.

Our Journey
As a first step, we have adopted the Government Primary school with 102 students in S. Uppalapadu village, Jammalamadugu in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India. We aim to make it a model English-Medium school which can be replicated in other schools of the entire state. Our comprehensive 5-year plan includes in-house teacher training programs and partnering with stakeholders in primary education, such as parents and heads of schools.
